Guest Access
The RCSA website is a resource that is available to all visitors and you do not need to create an account in order to browse or search the website. However, much of the information on the site is only accessible by RCSA Members.
If you are not logged in, you will not see any articles that have been marked as for RCSA Members only.
Creating & Using an Account
Creating an account is not necessary to explore the RCSA website. However, if you are a regular visitor and want to limit the information you see to your particular interests, you can set up an account to customise your experience.
Some people are registered with the RCSA, for example your company is a Corporate Member or Affiliate, you are an Accredited Professional Recruiter (APR) or you have registered for an RCSA Professional Development course.
If you are, you will already have a Customer Number on file. Please contact the RCSA to be given your number. By registering using this number, you will gain access to appropriate Member-only information on the website.
If you are not, you can set up an account using the online form.
Once you are logged in, there is no need for you to log out of the website unless you do not wish others using your computer to have access to your personal customised experience.
If you are having trouble with setting up an account, please contact the RCSA Webmaster.
Browsing the Website
There are many different people who visit the RCSA’s website and we want to help you find the information you want access to quickly and easily. The website is searchable as well, but if this your first visit you may wish to browse, so that you can explore what RCSA has to offer you.
Stakeholder Pages
To see information specific to your interests, select the area that most closely matches your situation. For example, job seekers are best to select “JobSeekers” so that the centres they are presented with are of the most interest to them.
Centres
The RCSA presents information on its various information portals and offerings through the different Centres. These provide a short introduction in the Stakeholder pages which can then be clicked to visit those Centres.
Information Articles
The articles on the website are all available by search but also by browsing them within each Centre. Articles are listed by a Heading, followed by the region(s) that they apply to, lodgement date (if applicable) and a summary. Click on the “Read more” to view the entire article.
Searching the Website
When searching for information on this website, remember that there are three different types of search engines: the “Find Information” search, the “RCSA Events” search and the Indexes.
"Find Information" Search Engine
The RCSA website holds around 200 pieces of information and search results in the "Find Information" engine are limited to these pieces of information only. Please note that the RCSA search engine works differently to Google's and therefore the way you search may be different.
Searching in Different Levels
Search Levels are available by clicking into or out of each Centre. If you wish to narrow a search to for example, articles with OHS within them to those in the Resources Centre, click to the Resources Centre and then search. If you want to expand your search to the full website, be on your stakeholder centre before performing your search.
Broadening or Narrowing your Search
There are a number of ways that you can increase or narrow your search:
- Specific Words: use the key word of your search to find the information. For example, if you want to find Research, use Research rather than results or information
- Fewer Words: use fewer words so that the search engine isn’t presenting results based on a variety of words. For example, quarterly will find more specific results than survey, and using RCSA will bring up all items where RCSA is a term.
- Quotation marks: to search for specific terms, use quotation marks. For example, search for BSC Memos by searching for “BSC Memo”
- Excluding a word: if you want to exclude a particular word from your search, use the dash ( - ). For example, to search for Health but not include articles with OHS in them, search for Health –OHS
RCSA Events Search
The RCSA Events Search is located at the top of the RCSA Events Listings. You can use this page to browse all currently-available events, or to narrow your search to specific events:
- Event Title: specify an event title to narrow your search to find specific words in the title. For example, see all current WebinRs by searching for WebinR. If you know some words in a particular event you can search for these too, for example, Introduction.
- Date Range: if you want to narrow your search to a particular start and/or end date, then use the date ranges. Otherwise leave these blank (or blank them by clicking ‘Clear’ in the top left of the pop-up calendars).
- Region: select your specific region by using the pull-down menu.
Index Search
The RCSA’s website has three Indexes: for Member Companies, for Accredited Professional Recruiters and for Suppliers & Service Providers. The search function is to narrow the search, that is, the more search terms you enter, the narrower your search will become. If you are not getting the results you expect, remove some of your search queries.
- Index of Member Companies: recruitment businesses that are Corporate Members of the RCSA
- Index of Accredited Professional Recruiters: individual recruiters who have met the professional development and ethical knowledge requirements to achieve and maintain APR Status with the RCSA.
- Index of Suppliers & Service Providers: businesses that are not recruitment companies but provide a range of products and services to recruitment companies and their staff.
You can narrow your search by including some or all of the company name, the town/city, postcode, or address, a state, or a country.
The Indexes do not use Boolean search phrases so do not use quotation marks or anything else in your search query.
“Function” limits your search results to companies that conduct particular types of services, for example nursing (AMRANZ Members), On-Hired, or Permanent services. Companies often work across these functions so the same companies may appear more than once.
“Business Type” limits the search to a company’s specialisations, for example office work or hospitality. Some companies have several specialisations so may appear more than once.
Contacting RCSA
The Contacting RCSA page includes mail, phone and fax details for the RCSA’s three offices.

Otherwise, please email your query using the Enquiry Response Form on the page:
