What Does RCSA Mean to You?

The Board of the RCSA wishes to revisit its strategy as part of the regular five year review and in particular with respect to the changes that have occurred in the past 18 months, and wish to ask the Members for their opinions on what they believe the focus of this review should entail.

URGENT Member Action Requested

Earlier this week the Full Bench of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission handed down a Statement in relation to Modern Award coverage of on-hire employees and their employers.  RCSA is happy with this Statement as it is in line with our submission.

Members are invited to review the Statement and provide feedback to bsc@rcsa.com.au prior to 5pm on Monday 21 November.  The RCSA’s submission in response to the Statement must be filed on 25 November.

MODERN AWARDS

With potential increases to the cost of employing individuals from 1 January, given the introduction of new awards and minimum employment standards (National Employment Standards), along with ongoing change to other legislation such as workers compensation, long service leave and the like, now is the perfect time to be reviewing client service agreements.

It is critical that Members review their client service agreements, otherwise known as terms of business, to ensure you are able to pass on any such increases in the cost of employing people because of the legislative change.
