Overview:

The term ‘Artificial Intelligence' (AI) has been used loosely in the recruitment and staffing space in recent years to describe a wide variety of technology and solutions. As true AI solutions for agencies become more prevalent, it also becomes increasingly important to form a solid definition of this technology, along with an understanding of the risks and opportunities it poses.

 A recent article published by the Australian Human Rights Commission highlighting the risk of algorithmic bias when utilising AI acts as one example of the pitfalls that recruitment and staffing agencies may face. Unless agencies fully understand and address the risk posed by AI, the promise of the technology will be hollow.

The aim of this session is to assist agencies to properly understand AI and in turn form a framework for implementing this technology to mitigate its risk and maximise its potential.
