How to Uncover More Truth & Spot Deception

How to Uncover More Truth & Spot Deception

Overview:

The cost of believing a lie can be significant when interviewing and selecting candidates and can impact on business and personal relationships. Misreading someone who is being truthful can also result in poor decisions and missed opportunities.

As lie detectors, humans get it right on around 50% of the time or even less due to an in-built truth bias. These are low odds when it comes to making high-stake decisions that can impact on a person, a business and even the culture of an organisation.

Elly Johnson, leading authority on truth and deception, delivers this half-day intensive workshop. You will leave with some eye-opening skills, tips and techniques to use in face-to-face and phone interactions and interviews.

By the end of the workshop you will see and hear things that others miss and be more confident to uncover the information that matters. You will further develop your existing skills and learn new concepts to uncover meaningful information along with gaining awareness in how to get more truth from people when it matters most.

Learning Outcomes:

In this must attend workshop you will:

  • Learn myths and tips to getting more truth and spotting more lies
  • Discover why some questions are far more powerful than you realise
  • Understand how emotional and cognitive load cause deception stress
  • Recognise how your unconscious bias and behaviours impact on your success
  • Learn to apply Truth Tools® to encourage more truth from the start

Who Should Attend:

If you interview or interact with people, either face to face or on the phone, you will gain benefit from this workshop. More specifically if your role includes interviewing candidates, winning and nurturing clients or managing staff, then this workshop will be a worthwhile investment of your time.

Even the most experienced professionals leave this workshop with boosted awareness and fresh tools designed to build stronger connections, spot hidden truth, read and interpret behaviour and encourage more truth when it matters most

Elly can show you how to read behaviour, get more meaningful information, and attract more truth when it matters most. She debunks myths and leaves participants with valuable tips to help get more truth and spot more lies, whether in the boardroom, the interview room or the lunchroom.

With hands on experience in law enforcement, sales, senior management and business, Elly’s passion shines through as she shares stories and case studies that illustrate how a greater awareness of the importance of truth and trust can reduce risk and result in stronger relationships and better outcomes with teammates, candidates and clients.
