Victoria's Portable Long Service Leave: Who is Eligible?

Victoria's Portable Long Service Leave Scheme: Who is Eligible?

Overview:

Victoria's Portable Long Service Leave Scheme allows workers in community services, contract cleaning and security to take their long service entitlement with them if they change jobs but stay in the industry. For eligible RCSA Members that service these sectors, the scheme requires them to register with the Victorian Portable Long Service Leave Authority.

To guide RCSA Members through eligibility and employer responsibilities under the scheme, RCSA is delighted to host the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Mr Joseph Yeung, Research and Education Team Leader, Mr Bradley Jorgensen, and Customer Service and Education Team Leader, Mr Adrian Powell.

This is an opportunity for RCSA Members to:

  • Understand the purpose of the scheme;
  • Determine eligibility for their business and workers; and
  • Learn about the application process and associated costs.
Members will be able to ask questions of Joseph, Bradley and Adrian throughout the forum, however we  encourage Members to submit any questions that they may have prior here

Session Date & Time: Thursday, 20 May 2021, 12:00PM - 1:00PM (AEST)

Please note that Members who are operating in these industries in Victoria and are found to be eligible may leave themselves exposed to significant financial liabilities. We therefore strongly urge all business leaders and staff who have workers in these sectors to attend this forum.

Meet Mr Joseph Yeung, Chief Executive Officer of the Victorian Portable Long Service Leave Authority:
