Recruitment Clients & Modern Slavery Reporting:  How it Will Impact RCSA Members

 

Overview:

Modern slavery reporting will be imposed upon Recruitment and Staffing clients early next year and many RCSA members will be asked to prove that there is no modern slavery in your service networks. What does this mean and how can you get ready, so that your clients will hold you in high regard?

RCSA are inviting Members to join this complimentary webinar facilitated by Charles Cameron and panellists;  Andrew C. Wood, FRCSA (Life) and Ian Lilley who collectively will discuss the issue to find the answers, before the questions come.

Charles joined the RCSA as Chief Executive in May 2016, and since that time has established the foundations for an employment services certification scheme which will define professional service providers within the marketplace in Australia and New Zealand for years to come.   Before taking on the role of Chief Executive, Charles was an equity Partner with FCB, Australia’s largest dedicated workplace legal and consulting firm, prior to which he founded and grew his own consulting firm which specialised in lobbying and risk management within the recruitment and employment services industry. He gained invaluable experience working with IPA, one of Australia’s most established recruitment firms, where he was the Workplace Relations and Safety Manager as well as 7 years working as an Advisor and Advocate for Australian Industry Group. In addition to his successful professional services career he founded a tech start up in 2006, which continues to successfully service the recruitment market today.

Meet your Panellist:  Andrew C. Wood Hon FRCSA (Life)



 
Andrew is an Australian Lawyer with over 35 years' experience as a solicitor and barrister. He retired from practice in 2019 to concentrate on full-time mediation and workforce governance through WorkAccord. He is the author of the ACCC authorised RCSA Code for Professional Conduct, its Grievance Intervention Guidelines, its StaffSure Certification Standard, and many of its templates including the Recruitment Client Services Agreement. Andrew is an accredited mediator with Resolution Institute and is regularly engaged as the unit course co-ordinator and lecturer for QUT's Employment Law unit.

Meet your Panellist: Ian Lilley



Ian is Senior Manager of Trust & Risk at PwC.  A successful risk consultant who delivers on engagements for clients in ESG Risk Management, Sustainability reporting; Sustainability & Carbon Assurance; Human Rights and workplace Health & Safety.  Ian will bring his insights to discuss how modern slavery is one of several emerging business areas which is driven by
investors who need to understand the risks and opportunities they face.

Meet your Panellist: Matt Perfect  




Matt Perfect is a “recovering procurement professional”, having spent over a decade working as both a management consultant and practitioner with corporates including BHP, National Australia Bank and Toll Group. For three years he also facilitated The Faculty’s highly regarded CPO Roundtable, conducting research, leadership development and training for the most senior procurement executives of over 30 of Australia’s largest corporate and government organisations. These days Matt works as an independent consultant, coach and facilitator helping people in procurement, recruitment and sales to have more impact. His beliefs are simple - when commercial relationships work well, they are more profitable for both sides and better for all stakeholders.
