The discussion will be facilitated by Ross Clennett, FRCSA and author of the Guidance Note, Andrew Wood, FRCSA (Life) who are joined by Fiona Harland, FRCSA to explain what professionalism looks like in the context of the industry using historical case study scenarios.

Ross Clennet, FRCSA is a high performance recruitment coach and recruitment industry blogger and commentator, as well as an RCSA Promote and Protect Committee (PPC) member. Since 2003 Ross has run his own business, RossClennett.com, providing a range of services to the recruitment industry in Australia and New Zealand. For over fifteen years Ross has been writing forthright opinion pieces on recruitment, the recruitment industry, the labour market and high performance.
Since 2007 Ross has been publishing a popular weekly blog. Ross has been professionally recognised by the designation, Fellow (FRCSA) awarded by the RCSA. In 2011 and 2012 Ross was a national finalist in the RCSA’s Outstanding Contribution Award given, amongst other criteria, to a person who has raised the professionalism of the industry through their contribution.
Meet the Panellists:
Andrew C. Wood, FRCSA (Life) is an Australian Lawyer with over 35 years' experience as a solicitor and barrister. He retired from practice in 2019 to concentrate on full-time mediation and workforce governance through WorkAccord. He is the author of the ACCC authorised RCSA Code for Professional Conduct, its Grievance Intervention Guidelines, its StaffSure Certification Standard, and many of its templates including the Recruitment Client Services Agreement. Andrew is an accredited mediator with Resolution Institute and is regularly engaged as the unit course co-ordinator and lecturer for QUT's Employment Law unit.
Fiona Harland, FRCSA holds 23 years Recruitment industry experience and has worked across Temp, Perm, Account Management and Branch leadership in both New Zealand and Australia.
Fiona stepped away from full time recruiting in 2016 when relocating to Hawkes Bay allowing the Auckland team to manage their Boutique Recruitment Agency on a day to day basis. Fiona remains actively involved in the business working on it. Not in it!
