Our NZ Recruitment Professional 2021 nominees and winner understand the industry is continually evolving. So how do they maintain up to date industry knowledge and utilise this knowledge in their interactions with clients and candidates?

Recruitment and staffing professionals (Members & Non-Members) are invited to join this free online discussion where 2021 NZ Recruitment Professional of the Year winner Brian Bernard, and finalists, Sarah Quintal, Matthew Greenwood and Crispin Robertson will share their inspiring stories that led them to be recognised for this famed award.

This session is ideal for new consultants joining the industry and experienced consultants where all can establish the best practice principles mapping out their time ahead developing their professional career.

The live delivery will be held on Thursday, 30th September and at 11.30am - 12.30pm AEST | 2.30pm - 3.30pm NZST time

Recruitment Professional of the Year 2021 Winner: Brian Bernard

Brian has over 25 years’ experience in the ICT industry and has an international background from the UK and USA. He has experience in general and sales management, strategic planning, marketing, and new business development. Brian has been part of the Absolute IT management team since 2008, his responsibilities include business development, client engagement and management of staff in our Waikato/BOP office.

Recruitment Professional of the Year 2021, Finalist: Sarah Quintal

I have spent over 14 years in Talent Acquisition, working across internal, agency and outsourcing. I’ve built and led teams, and use my extensive experience in strategic HR to ensure that my clients are making the best sourcing decisions to achieve their objectives. Originally from the UK, I’ve been living in New Zealand for 12 years and consider this awesome part of the world home now.

Recruitment Professional of the Year 2021, Finalist: Matt Greenwood

As a recruiter I have a strong network and pride myself on a consultative, transparent and good-humored approach. When working with both clients and candidates, I believe in priortising trust to build an enduring relationship for a long-term partnership. Born in Christchurch, I moved to Wellington in 2012 after securing a job in the travel industry. Whilst I loved my job, I found that I kept being asked by various recruiter clients of mine that 'I should consider a job in the industry' and after finally being caught on a bad day I figured that there may be something to this! A few coffees later I had a contract in front of me and I have never looked back since.

Recruitment Professional of the Year 2021, Finalist: Crispin Robertson

Crispin started as a recruiter way back in the last millennium in England (that explains his sense of humour). He switched to the “dark side” (in-house corporate recruitment) and stayed there for quite a while before he realised he was moving away from everything he loved about the role (people!). He eventually saw the light and is now one of our senior talent advisors.
