WHS Due Diligence for Leaders in Recruitment

WHS Due Diligence for
Leaders in Recruitment

Overview:

Recruitment on-hire agencies have a duty of care to on-hire workers under Work Health & Safety Law.

As a recruiter you do not always have direct control or management of the workplaces involved, however your duty remains as an employer to your on-hire workers. This means that you have a legal duty to take action to establish that the workplace and its operations are safe before workers are placed with a client. You also need to continue monitoring workers’ health and safety throughout the term of their placement.

Business owners are encouraged to join this online 2-hour workshop to understand and develop due diligence obligations under Australian Health and Safety Laws. Learning outcomes will ensures business owners and or senior management have a comprehensive understanding of their obligations to ensure due diligence is exercised, and the business complies with its primary duty of care.

Join Amy Towers, RCSA WHS consultant and author of WHS Business templates for members, who will explore regulatory guidance and relevant case law specific to the on-hire industry and discover how senior managers can be held personally liable for actions or decisions made by your organisation. Amy will also cover the actions required by you to exercise due diligence as senior leaders within your organisation.

Hosted by Risk Collective, join Amy Towers for this online course, where attendees will learn the right skills and gain confidence to effectively manage on-hired worker placements.

This session will be on Wednesday 1st June 2022 from 1.00pm - 3.00pm AEST (Melbourne time).
