2019 Program Now Open

The PEARL (Professional, Emerging & Aspiring Recruitment Leaders) Mentoring Program is designed to provide Members who are seeking to take their next career step with an opportunity to learn from peers within the industry and also to gain new perspectives in leadership. The program aims to develop the capacity of the sector and nurture the talent of the Recruitment Consulting Industry by encouraging communication between new and experienced professionals working in the field.

It provides opportunities for Mentors to contribute to the well-being of the industry by passing on their knowledge and experience to others through reflection on their own practices and exposure to new ideas, interests and opportunities for challenge.

PEARL Mentoring provides exceptional value to RCSA Members in the way it offers a mutually beneficial industry wide mentoring program at minimal charge to RCSA Corporate and Individual members.

Mentors and Mentees are matched together based on their goals, objectives and professional background, who then meet on a minimum monthly basis over the course of a year to discuss & plan how to actualise these goals.

Supported by the Art of Mentoring, their program combines evidence-based mentoring expertise with the latest technology.A  digital platform provides the opportunity for new participants and even the well-experienced participant to engage and time manage their own self-learning experiences. Despite the clear advantages of digital learning the RCSA acknowledges the impact that a face-to-face meeting can provide and has incorporated a balance of these deliveries.

Participants will be provided training through an Art of Mentoring e-Learning Package accessible directly through a dedicated RCSA platform. A combination of video-based webinars each Mentor and Mentee will have access to an on-line initial induction session with participants further guided through the course of the program with instructional videos, interviews ‘How to Guides’ and tools; on-going resources include articles, booklets, exercises and tips for Mentors and Mentees. Powered by Gooroo, we are offering Mentees and Mentors access to their own individual profiling report. These results will highlight workstyle preferences and a person’s approach to growth. Further, it provides insight into the type of work environments that the individual is more aligned to succeeding within.

Each participant will be supported throughout the program through a number of digital resources and by direct contact with the  RCSA Program Coordinator

Powered by Gooroo , we are offering Mentees and Mentors access to their own individual profiling report. These results will highlight workstyle preferences and a person’s approach to growth. Further, it provides insight into the type of work environments that the individual is more aligned to succeeding within.

Leadership is the key theme of PEARL and RCSA values the opportunity here for participants to evaluate the data ahead of their mentoring journey. Profiling distinguishes participants who, during times of adversity can cope; those that need guidance and those who may avoid it. The outcome we seek across the cohort of participants are enhancing workplace traits that promote collaboration, adaptiveness and growth in response to the future of work landscape.

The results collectively will also help inform some key research on how the industry informs its own development into the future. What type of thinking is currently valued and promoted across the industry and what are the likely trends that will help move companies and leaders into the new world of work. We'll use these insights to help you and your teams prepare for disruption and turbulence, while capitalising on the best thinking and decision making available in your organisations.

How is the data compiled? Through patent-pending technology based on neuroscience and artificial intelligence, participants will complete a mind-set and work-style survey. These results offers individuals a perspective that suggests how they think and make decisions within in their own lives and at work. Leaders can use these insights to deliver higher valued decisions, while developing greater levels of capacity to withstand turbulence, both internally and from their customers and industries.

What are the key differences between Psychometric testing and Gooroo Profiling? While Gooroo  is very different to a psychometric you may see some similarities in its application including surveys and reporting. Gooroo uses socio-graphics to determine accuracy and measures, and departs from traditional 'descriptions' of people or behaviours.

Psychometrics measure factors like needs, interests, attitude and values, while Socio-graphics create custom measures of personal needs, attitudes, passions and preferences. Gooroo's tools help deliver insight on capacity rather than capability, preference rather than description, and exploration of choice rather than prediction of behaviour.
