Individual Membership

 RCSA Individual membership aligns individuals with recruitment career paths and provides public recognition of a member’s knowledge, skills, experience and commitment to continuing professional development. RCSA individual membership clearly indicates to your peers, clients and candidates that you are serious about your profession and you adhere to the RCSA Code for Professional Conduct. It provides a professional identity, competitive edge and credibility clients look for in today’s professional market. 

RCSA individual membership is available at 5 levels: 

  • Associate Member
  • Accredited Professional Recruiter (APRCSA)
  • Member (MRCSA)
  • Fellow (FRCSA)
  • Life Fellow (FRCSA Life)

Individuals may enter at any level of membership provided they have met the minimum requirements. Applications for RCSA Fellowship are referred to the RCSA Board for approval. 

Associate



This category is open to individuals who work in supporting industry roles and sectors outside the industry.
 



Accredited Professional Recruiter (APRCSA)


minimum 2 years’ relevant, recruitment experience;

OR completion of the RCSA Recruitment Consulting Certificate;

OR completion of a minimum HR undergraduate degree.
 

Member (MRCSA)



Minimum 3 years’ relevant, recruitment experience (assessed via submission of CV) and completion of a relevant undergraduate degree.

Minimum 7 years’ relevant, recent and ongoing recruitment industry* experience (assessed
via submission of a CV).

Fellow (FRCSA)



Applications for Fellow Membership is to be filled out using a separate form.

Life Member (FRCSA Life)



Life Members are appointed by the Association, and applications are offered by invitation only.

Individual Member Support Program (IMSP)


A program allowing individuals to attain any of the membership levels, provided they meet the relevant criteria, under a  Corporate Membership arrangement.

The Code for Professional Conduct  is authorised by the ACCC in Australia and recognised by the Commerce Commission in New Zealand. It demonstrates RCSA members’ commitment to the highest professional standards. RCSA provides free online Code training for members. The RCSA Code is supported by the Disciplinary & Dispute Resolution Procedures and an Ethics Management system which is robust and respected.

Advocacy and media

RCSA advocacy and media represents Members by highlighting and solving industry and collective member problems by putting them on the agenda, confirming policy, recommending solutions and building support for action on both the problems and solutions.

Attend keystone events

The Winter Ball and Industry Awards Night  is an evening of networking with colleagues and friends, celebration and the announcement of the RCSA Industry Awards winners.   The RCSA International Conference brings together an outstanding program to develop your managers and leadership team, provides the opportunity to network with peers, refresh your thinking and re-energise staff.

Access learning and development programs

RCSA's Learning Centre Programs include workshops, seminars, webinars, and ELMO e-learning. The Professional Emerging & Aspiring Recruitment Leaders (PEARL) Mentoring Program  is designed to support our emerging leaders.

Join specialist Member/Working Groups

Join specialist groups such as AMRANZ (Association of Medical Recruiters of Australia and New Zealand)  and ANRA  (Association of Nursing Recruitment Agencies) or working groups in areas such as Safety & Risk, Workplace Relations, Finance and Tax, immigration and Job Boards and Online Freelance Work Platforms.
