Conquering Crucial Conversations

Overview:

It is rare to find someone who is comfortable with and skilled at having difficult conversations. Those that master this elusive skill though, are able to perform when the stakes are highest and can transform precarious situations into opportunities for building stronger relationships and better outcomes.

Difficult conversations may be in the form of giving or receiving feedback, coaching, difficult negotiations, conflict management, managing difficult people or working through situations where the emotions or stakes are high. In this session, we unpack the neuroscience and psychology of crucial conversations and translate these insights into practical advice for planning and leading the conversations that matter most.

Objectives & Outcomes:

Join Michelle Rushton who will:

  • Unpack the seven components of our proprietary neuroscience model that can help you plan conversations
without triggering a defensive response in others (making these conversations less P.A.I.N.F.U.L.™)
  • Learn how to use the ‘Three Stories Technique’ for beginning a difficult conversation with confidence and
sensitivity and for structuring the negotiation in way that increases the chances of reaching a mutually
    agreeable solution
  • Learn the specific language tricks that can help prime the other person to have a more resourceful and solutionfocused
mindset and work with you more collaboratively

Who Should Attend:

  • Recruitment Consultants all Levels
  • Emerging Leaders, Managers & Directors
  • Business Development Professionals
  • Sales & Product Development Professionals
