Developing Strategy & Strategic Leadership Capability

Developing Strategy & Strategic Leadership Capability in Disruptive Times

Overview:

In the 20th century, the strategy development process was seen very much as a formulaic methodology to apply to a fixed industry landscape. In a context of stable industries with long time-horizons, this has worked well previously, allowing for organisation’s to create and sustain competitive advantage.

Particularly in the last decade, the rate and intensity of changes being experienced across many industries (including the recruitment industry) has led to the emergence of disruption and ever-changing landscapes, forcing leaders to rethink the way in which they develop strategy.

During this session, you will gain insights into the major trends shaping the recruitment industry and the shift that organisations are making from sustained competitive advantage towards sustained transient advantage. You will also challenge yourself on the big questions that any recruitment firm should be able to answer in their strategy, as well as the strategic leadership capabilities that your leaders will need to champion efforts in communicating and implementing your firm’s strategy.

Key Objectives:

  • What is strategy (vs operations)?
  • How do I develop a strategy management system that translates ‘strategic intent’ into ‘action’?
  • What are the next steps I need to take to develop a strategy management system for my business?

Who Should Attend:

Beneficial for established/mature business owners and their teams (some business strategy experience)
