AU Mastering On-Hire & WHS Contracting Safety

Mastering On-Hire & Contracting Safety

Overview:

We welcome you to take part in the most practical and engaging on-hire risk management program available today in the health and safety space.

Recent cases continue to prove yet again that on-hire firms cannot, and therefore should not, be relying on host organisation to ensure the health and safety of their workers.  In simple terms: on-hire firms and host organisations have a shared duty of care for the health and safety of workers which is not transferable.  This means both should be invested in the health and safety of workers to ensure staff are adequately protected on the job.

Learn what your responsibilities are as an on-hire business and ensure you and your leadership team have the knowledge, know-how and tools to avoid work health and safety litigation and workplace injuries.

This session offers participants a detailed understanding of work health and safety law fundamentals and how they apply in an on-hire sense. Hosted by Risk Collective, join Amy Towers for this online course, where attendees will learn the right skills and gain confidence to effectively manage on-hired worker placements.

This session will be held in two parts on Tuesday 23rd April & Wednesday 24th April 2024 from 1pm - 3pm AEDT (Melbourne time).

Learning Objectives:

AU Recruiters who are responsible for WHS client site assessments will gain knowledge to:
  • Understand who in an on-hire firm holds individual accountability for health and safety
  • Achieve due diligence and understand the on-hire web of responsibility
  • Know what your firm and other duty holders need to do to meet primary duty of care
  • Get a practical work health and safety framework an on-hire firm can strive to achieve
  • Outline focused goals that participants need over the next 6 to 12 months to get health and safety on track
Participants will return to their workplace with fresh insight into on-hire work health and safety, armed with goals to work towards and achieve a healthy and safe on-hire business.
