Recruitment Industry Economic Outlook FY26-27

Overview:

The new financial year presents both opportunities and uncertainty for recruitment and staffing businesses. Understanding where the Australian economy and labour market are headed will be critical for making informed business decisions over the next 12 to 18 months.

Join RCSA and APositive for an insightful economic briefing exploring Australia's economic outlook, the trends shaping workforce demand, and what they mean for the recruitment and staffing sector. This practical session will examine the key drivers influencing business confidence, hiring activity and workforce planning, helping agencies identify opportunities for growth while preparing for the challenges ahead.

The webinar, including a live Q&A, will be moderated by Charles Cameron, CEO of RCSA.

Joining Charles will be Peter Grist, Principal Economist at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), who will provide expert analysis on:

  • Australia's macroeconomic outlook, including GDP, inflation, interest rates and business confidence.
  • Labour market trends and recruitment industry hiring forecasts.
  • Growth sectors, emerging opportunities and industries facing ongoing challenges.
  • Regional economic trends and workforce demand across Australia.
  • What recruitment and staffing businesses should be watching as they plan for the year ahead.

Also joining the session will be Victoria Kirwin from APositive, RCSA's Finance, Payments and Payroll Partner, who will share practical insights into how finance, payments and payroll solutions can help recruitment agencies strengthen cash flow, improve operational efficiency and position their businesses for sustainable growth throughout the new financial year.

Who Should Attend:

This webinar is ideal for recruitment and staffing business owners, directors, leaders and decision makers looking to better understand the economic outlook, refine their business strategy, and position their organisation for success in FY2026-27.
