AoG tender – how members can lend their support to calls for an extension of timeframe

15 August 2022

RCSA members continue to express their concern about the extremely tight timeframes proposed for response to the AoG ERS tender released earlier this month.

RCSA has shared those concerns directly with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) in a number of phone conversations since the release of the tender. Last week, MBIE verbally advised RCSA that suppliers who are concerned about timeframes should articulate those concerns and request additional time through the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) system.

RCSA urges members who are concerned about their ability to respond appropriately to the complexities in the tender within the proposed timeframe, to raise those concerns through GETS system and request the government consider allowing additional time to respond.

Having these concerns raised through GETS provides an opportunity – and an obligation - for MBIE to formally consider the need for and merit of extending timeframes.

If members are individually concerned about the tightness of timeframes proposed for response to the AoG ERS tender they are welcome to reach out to the MBIE tender team directly, or to RCSA’s Head of Advocacy, Brooke Lord, on [email protected] or on +61 408 543 902.
