Overview:

Too many Recruiters begin and end their searches in LinkedIn! This is a great time waster and puts you on the ‘back foot’ from the start of any new project.

I want to show you how you can save time, and money, by using LinkedIn as PART of your research but not as the only social media platform that you gather information from. We will be looking at how we should be starting our searches on Google or Bing, as this will yield so many more results. We can then filter these results by adding more search parameters to our Boolean search string. Once we have identified the best talent, we also do not want to stop there by sending the candidate an Inmail - and hoping they see it and respond to us.

To complete the research process, we need to leave LinkedIn again to find the email address and/or mobile number of these candidates. It is a proven fact that people are twice as likely to respond to an email and reply in up to 85% less time, compared to an Inmail!

Vanessa Raath is determined to bring the ‘Human Element’ back into today’s Recruitment Process as she believes it has been lacking for too long now!

Vanessa believes that people are the core building blocks of every business but that doesn’t mean that we can treat every ‘block’ the same. With over 10 years’ experience in the Recruitment Industry, Vanessa specialised in the IT Applications space for most of this time. Before starting her career in Recruitment, she taught unruly children in London; operated a chairlift in the USA and taught people to Scuba Dive in SE Asia.
