Developing Advanced Questioning & Negotiation Skills
Overview:
Whether it’s negotiating on behalf of a candidate to get them a better offer from your client or negotiating terms to be able to work on the position initially, being a successful negotiator is a key competency for a recruiter.
Appreciating that there can be a process to follow, can give seasoned consultants the confidence to be more assertive during the negotiation.
A key requirement is the ability to ask pertinent questions, so we’ll explore the type of questions that are required to be able to gain the information that you need to make a decision.
Objectives:
This 1 hour session will give the opportunity for the consultant:
- To review the key skills required to be a competent negotiator
- To appreciate the importance of being assertive
- To understand the negotiation process and the key elements of it
- To identify client and company variables to bargain with

Meet the facilitator: Angela Cripps
