RCSA Recruitment Consulting Certificate
The RCSA is invested in providing a comprehensive training package for Consultants NEW to the industry with less than 6 months experience in their recruitment role or for those who have been in their role between 6 - 12 months and require a refresher.
This training package is a two-day consecutive course that will cover off the following topics:
- Day One: Candidates & Recruitment
- Day Two: Clients & Sales
An open book assessment document is issued after attendance and upon successful passing the RCSA Recruitment Certificate is issued.
Day One: 22nd July 2020
This workshop covers the essential areas of recruitment for both Temporary and Permanent consultants in industrial and commercial markets. Attendees will benefit from the following content:
- The history & future of recruitment
- RCSA Code for Professional Practice
- Legislation & relevant laws
- Managing candidates
- Recruitment process
- Interviewing essentials
This workshop is about proven solutions and realistic approaches to the competitive and challenging world of recruitment; not text book theory.
Day Two: 23rd July 2020
The recruitment industry is consistently demanding consultants meet their targets and be ahead of the game. The final day covers:
- Marketing strategies
- Ask questions & listen...don't 'tell & sell'
- Presentation skills
- Making cold calls warm
- Techniques for negotiating & objection handling
- Asking for business and getting referrals

Meet the facilitator: Penni Hlaca, MRCSA
With 20 years recruitment experience across, Australia and New Zealand, Penni can offer course participants an insight into growing a recruitment career from the ground up.Penni has built many a desk across a variety of industries and until recently held leadership roles with global organisations.
More recently, Penni took the plunge into self employment and is a co-director at Three Sixty HR in New Zealand. With a pragmatic approach to all projects, participants will enjoy an honest and insightful session.
With best practice being high on her agenda, Penni has been an active member of the New Zealand Council of the RCSA (Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association) for the past five years, holding the Chair position for the last two years.
In 2018 Penni was extremely proud to be the winner of the Seek SARA New Zealand Recruitment Leader of the Year award.
19 years after completing her first RCSA workshop Penni is now pleased to be taking on the role of Facilitator and looks forward to sharing her recruitment journey.

All enrollments effective from 1st January 2020 will qualify to be an Individual Member of RCSA - Professionally recognised as an Accredited Professional Recruiter (APRCSA). Upon successful completion of the program recognition will be covered until the end of the current financial year or unless otherwise stated.
